Want to know why you’re not getting enough clients? In one word: VALUE.
Your CLIENTS are somewhere right now hoping and praying to come in contact with YOU – the one person who can help them solve their big problem. But the challenge is that they haven’t been able to see the value you offer. Or to paraphrase, they’ve not been able to see you as someone who can really HELP THEM.
I know you care about your clients and you say, “Louis, I have what it takes to help my clients win, but I’m not getting enough clients!” However, the problem is that you’ve not been able to communicate this in a clear and effective way to your clients.
How you say? When you talk about you, your company, your achievements, your team, your products or services, your clients’ testimonials, etc, etc, you’re not communicating the value you offer. You’re only talking about yourself, and to your clients, this is self-serving.
But, “Kennedy, showing my clients’ testimonials show how I helped others like my potential clients, and it serves the client…”
What’s wrong with this? Everything. First, when you shove your clients’ testimonials in your videos, sales pages and on your website, your client automatically assumes that you’re trying to convince them to get whatever it is you sell.
Yes, it’s social proof. Yes, it increases your credibility, but something is missing.
You’re not talking about your client yet. There’s a way to use testimonials to communicate the value you offer, but I will talk about this in another post.
Your clients have real problems. They have things that keep them up at night. There’s a problem they’re trying to solve and they think about it every darn time – when they’re playing with their children when they’re talking with their friends, when they’re on a date, when they’re with their spouse.
You may not believe it, but that’s how bad this problem is. And your client is looking for YOU to help them solve this problem.
You’re right there on their news feed in the form of an ad. But they don’t trust you to help them. You’re with them in the same groups on Facebook, but they see you as just another poster or member. They’re in your Facebook and LinkedIn networks but they see you as their virtual connection. THEY CAN’T SEE YOU AS THE SOLUTION!!!
Until you’re able to effectively communicate the value you offer your client, they will never get to know that it’s you they’ve been searching for, will they?
So here’s a better way to start reaching out to your clients and start having them work with you.
Why don’t you start talking about your clients in everything you do? In your ad, make it about them. On your webinar, focus entirely on their problems and the solution. In your emails, make it about them.
Stop talking about the $30K you made last month. Quit telling them about the $900K you brought in from your last launch. Stop talking about your new house and your sweet newly adopted German Shepherd. Stop talking about you! They don’t give a shit about you. They want to solve their problem and that’s the only thing that matters in the world. So why don’t you talk about what matters most?
Focus on helping them right before they get to know you. Focus on their problems and give them actionable steps to get a solution. Some of them will be able to solve their problem all by themselves – with the solution you prescribe, while a number of them will want to work directly with you in order to get results faster. This is how you land premium clients, faster and much easier.
And as always, I believe with no doubt that if you help people solve a major life or business problem, you should be able to charge $3000 to $10,000 or $15,000 or more for this.
Make all your marketing, posts and everything you do about your client and sees how things change dramatically!
